New Take On Old Classics By the Man himself Mr John Anderson - OkI see all the crazy reviews on here giving John the boot cause of re recordings of his own songs from older albums from other record labels.Whats the Big deal with this people,I mean come on. First off, It s His songs, he s singing them, their all there in 1 convient 2 disk set, which in itself has multiple pluses. Newly updated musical conpositions for some of his works and made for a new generation of fans to enjoy. Harping about this set not being original recordings is kinda like going to 1 of his concerts and saying it s a rip off or something too. It s Him for pete sakes and it sounds better in many cases than the originals. So Shame on all you reviewers saying that crap about this cd set.One More thing If ya read this page John. Lake Winnie Rocked buddy. Stay safe and God bless to you and Yours Always.

Ugh !! All Remakes Not original Recordings - This should have been a classic set, instead its all remakes. It s amazing that John has not had a worthy anthology.Let s get with it !

Grand Ole Opry Paging Mr. John Anderson!!!!! - You ve just been banned for life!!! And we might just send Little Jimmy Dickens over to wail the tar out of you, too! Why? Because of this sleazy, good for nothin , city slicker of a Rerecord! It s lower than a slime sucking pig. And what really ticks us off is that while most rerecords aim for the bargain bin and are content to filch $9.00 or $12.00 bucks from the unsuspecting fan, you and your managers put out a double album--and dressed it up to look like a top of the line Anthology. Then you sent the sleazometer needle spinning by actually calling it Anthology. And charging a whopping $18.00 a pop! Congratulations, you win the Opry prize for GREED. So hit the bricks Mr. Falling Star, nobody s buying that you were just showing off your current band. What s your next big hit? She just started liking Rerecords. You may have pocketed some quick cash and goosed sales. But you ve lost the trust of your longtime fans and the respect of your peers. Hey, you used to be one of our heros. And we still think you have one of the best voices in C&W. But in our eyes now you re just an old chunk of ______. And P.S. It ain t coal!!!

Rerecording So What - So far I have only listened to the bits that you can hear in the review page. I don t own this collection as of yet. I do know that what I hear is Good Ol John Anderson the way we all like to hear him sound. I ve looked over this collection and I don t think there is a song in it that I own. Since I don t own any of them I don t know original from rerecording so I don t have a problem with it. They all sound good to me.

John Anderson - this is a great CD except a couple of the songs are not original recordings. It is still great though and I would highly recommend it if you like John Anderson
