Sooo good! - I love John Anderson s voice and this cd has all of the songs I love!! This is a great source if you are looking for some of the songs from the last decade or so that you didn t originally buy! Good stuff! It is fun to dance to! :)
Still Not Enough, but will do for now - This is a fine greatest hits of Anderson. However, this set is nearly 20 yrs old and heis long overdue for a more comprehensivecareer spanning anthology. What is here is great : Wild and Blue, Swingin,I m just an old chunk of coal, and wouldyou catch a falling star- among many.John is long overdue- one of the more signifficant artist of the later 70 searly 80 s.
Got to love John Anderson - It s got Black Sheep and Wild and Blue. The only thing that s missing is Chicken Truck.
Doesn t begin to cover all of John s great songs... - This is a very nice collection, but how long do we have to wait for someone to put out a truly comprehensive anthology of John s work? This is simply a few of John s great hits. This guy is a pure country traditionalist, one of the very best ever, along the lines of Jones and Haggard...even the Anthology double CD is lacking...I have been listening to John since his first vinyl release with his great hit, She Just Started Liking Cheatin Songs from 1980! It will take at least 2 CDs, maybe 3, to truly do John Anderson credit. In the meantime, this CD, the Antholgy CD and one or two other Greatest hits CDs will have to suffice.C mon folks, how about someone putting together the real thing, a full compilation of great music from at least 5 different labels? It can be done, and John Anderson deserves it!This one gives you a wonderful taste of John s talent, but it leaves out at least half of his career thus far!In my opinion you wouild do better with a copy, new or used, of the Anthology CD, and as noted, that too leaves much to be desired. Let s hope that someone gets it right soon...
John Anderson-Greatest Hits - Some albums have one or two songs that are appealing. This one is great all the way through. I particularly wanted the song Seminole Wind, but I found I enjoyed many of the others almost as much.
